Hilfmann Rehab | Psychological Rehabilitation and Trauma Support Program
Hilfmann Psychological Services launched the Hilfmann Rehab program as a psychological rehabilitation and psychosocial support initiative aimed at helping individuals affected by war, trauma, severe stress, and crisis-related psychological difficulties. The program operated from January 2021 to July 2021 across Armenia and Artsakh and focused on providing accessible psychological assistance and evidence-based psychotherapeutic support for affected individuals and their families.
The initiative was financed by the Hayastan All Armenian Fund. Hilfmann Rehab was developed within the framework of modern trauma-informed psychological care and emphasized: psychological rehabilitation, trauma recovery, stress-related disorder treatment, emotional stabilization, and long-term psychosocial adaptation.
The program worked with:
- war-affected individuals,
- veterans and servicemen,
- families of missing or deceased persons,
- individuals experiencing acute stress reactions, and
- people suffering from trauma-related psychological difficulties.
The methodological foundation of the program included evidence-based approaches such as:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
- trauma-focused CBT interventions,
- prolonged exposure approaches,
- cognitive processing methods, and
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Hilfmann Rehab reflected the broader philosophy of Hilfmann Psychological Services: Evidence-Based Practice and Interdisciplinary Approach. The initiative combined modern psychological science, ethical clinical practice, and accessible mental health support in order to help individuals restore psychological functioning, resilience, and quality of life after traumatic experiences.
